Best Family-Friendly Hotel in Dubrovnik: President Valamar Collection Hotel

Walking into the hotel, your eyes are immediately drawn to the panoramic view seen from the reception level. Down below, there’s an infinity pool, and a few floors down there’s a pebbled private beach and a restaurant with a sea view serving gourmet food.

LOCATION

The hotel is located in the riviera of Dubrovnik, which makes the ultimate destination for those looking to combine a city break with majestic nature and beaches. Walking distance from the hotel are a few famous beach clubs and restaurants such as Coral Beach Club, Copacabana Beach and Cave Bar More. You can also take a stroll along the panoramic promenade accessible via the hotel’s private beach. Conveniently, there’s a bus to the Old Town right outside the reception.

ACCOMODATION

We were a couple and a baby under two, and so we stayed in ‘Room for 2+1 Seaview’. It was a spacious 1-bedroom with a balcony, with all the amenities you might need. We also enjoyed a nice view of the pool and sea from our balcony.

KIDS CLUB

Maro World is the hotel’s kids club and it is accessible for guests of all of the Valamar Hotels in Dubrovnik. This is where we spent most of our time with our 14-month old, who was excited every time we walked in there. Maro World is what makes the hotel enticing for children. It is suitable for children of all ages from babies to toddlers and teenagers. It features a soft play, outdoor trampolines, drawing room, a wide variety of toys, games consoles and even chill-out spaces for parents.

FACILITIES

Dubrovnik President Valamar Collection Hotel features world-class amenities such as an indoor bar and outdoor terrace called the Piano Bar, private beach, a spa, outdoor infinity pool and indoor pool, and award-winning buffet restaurant.

The private pebbled beach has comfortable sun beds and cabanas. From the beach, guests can enjoy breaking views of Lapad peninsula.

In between exploring, guests are able to unwind at the piano bar over a few drinks and snacks, overlooking the bay and watching breathtaking sunsets.

DINNING

When traveling with children, I find the easiest option is to have our meals at the hotel; Therefore, we opted for the half board option. The breakfast and dinner were fantastic with a wide variety of options and the staff was highly accommodating to our baby’s food needs. In addition, President Valamar is also home to a fine dinning restaurant by the beach called La Mar.
