MY EXPERIENCE
Me and my husband had the pleasure of being a guest on Sealife Legend Cruise during our honeymoon at the 2 Days 1 Night cruise. The itinerary was full of adventures allowing us to explore Halong Bay in a comfortable and organised way.
Our day started at 09:00 when we were picked up from our Hanoi hotel in a luxury van and driven to the port. We were then transported to the cruise by a speed boat where we had a warm welcome from the staff. After the room check-in we enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch which was served with a variety of meat and vegetarian options in the new ‘Fish’ restaurant. The restaurant allows guests to dine while also admiring the majestic views through floor to ceiling windows.
At 15:00 we went on an excursion to the Van Ta area where we enjoyed kayaking at the Dark and Bright Cave. Guests have the option to chose to either Kayak on their on to the cave or to be taken by a bamboo boat. Upon returning to the cruise, guests also have the chance to swim the green water. We, however, chose to skip the swimming as unfortunately the water were too cold.
Upon returning to the cruise guests had free time to relax, have a treatment at the spa or chill at the Jacuzzi. At 18:00 we enjoyed a drink at the sundeck while watching the majestic pink and purple sunset. Later on, a fisherman performed a Vietnamese cooking demonstration.
19:15 was dinner time. We enjoyed a romantic and delicious five-course dinner at the restaurant while a live band was playing music. We were able to pre choose vegetarian or meat options which were both really enjoyable and well prepared. Evening entertainment is also provided on board at the Navy Club with karaoke and live music.
The next day a light breakfast was served before the tour to Gia Luan where the Hospital Cave is. The Hospital Cave is a historic destination which served as a hidden hospital in the mountains during the war in the 20th century. Back at the cruise, a buffet brunch was served at the restaurant before the end of the trip.
