Hotel Barrière Le Majestic provided us with a wonderful vacation unlike any other. This 5-star hotel is located on the coast of the French Riviera in Cannes and it is the perfect luxurious holiday spot. Built in 1926, the hotel is a historical luxury hotel and one of the most famous hotels in the Cote D’Azure.
With the hotel being a traditional luxury hotel for celebrities attending the Cannes Film Festival I felt lucky being able to experience such high-class hospitality and service. It was clear that the staff were well-trained to attend to the world’s most affluent people.
THE LOCATION
Nothing beats Cannes as a location on the French Riviera. The hotel is located on the promenade de la Croisette, which is the main boardwalk in town. Walking distance are Cannes’ main restaurants, bars and of course, the beach. The hotel is facing the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès and is very close to the old port as well.
THE DECOR
The exterior of Hotel Barrière Le Majestic blends in perfectly with its elegant-beach surroundings looking like a majestic palace. The hotel provides the perfect luxury setting for your holiday.
The interior is, in my opinion, highly elegant, spacious and graceful. With its splendid and lavish decor, featuring impressive chandeliers, statueses, and gold furniture, the hotel has proven itself as the definition of luxury.
Another element that stood out to me in the interior on the ground floor was the beautiful black and white picture-frames and the huge white flowers in vases.
THE FACILITIES
I loved discovering everything that Hotel Barrière Le Majestic has to offer. The pool was spacious and clean. I especially loved hanging at the bar by the pool drinking a glass of Veuve Clicquot. Yes, I know, very French of me.
The hotel also has gourmet dinning to offer with Le Fouquet’s being the most famous one. The prestige brasserie style restaurant has a Parisian menu that was curated by Pierre Gagnaire. The hotel also features a restaurant with Mediterranean cuisine called Le Petite Maison de Nicole. Alongside with these gourmet options, the hotel also offers other various bars. My favourite one was La Rotonde Veuve Clicquot, as I’m the champagne brand’s fan.

In addition to all of that, the hotel offers a spa and a fitness centre to those who wish.
THE ROOM
Me and my partner were lucky enough to have been upgraded to a suit, which made our holiday much more romantic and worthwhile. We had a spacious double-bed room with practically everything we needed.
THE BREAKFAST
For the first morning we chose to eat our breakfast at our balcony, taking advantage of our stunning room. However, I must say that the breakfast that was brought to us was a little disappointing. With only being brought some cereal and bread for food, I expected a lot more from a 5* hotel. Nonetheless, it was a magical morning overlooking the beautiful views of the sea and the pool from our balcony.
TO CONCLUDE
I have had a one-of-a-kind experience being a guest at one of the world’s top hotels which is frequent by celebrities and VIPs. I loved everything from the decor to the hotel staff that were very helpful and accommodating to all of our requests (car renting, helicopter ride, directions etc). A truly luxurious experiences that is not-to-miss when visiting Cannes and the French Riviera.

This looks like a lovely hotel and in a great location. I’d love to head back down to the south of France soon. It’s such a nice place to visit.
