THE DESIGN
Akara Hotel is elegantly furnished with artisanal luxe inspired rooms featuring white marble bathrooms and natural white wood decor. The hotel combines classy design with modernity and contemporary comfort.
THE LOCATION
The hotel is located at Phaya Thai district of Bangkok along a bustling road. However, it provides a safe-heaven and a relaxing escape for its guests.
The famous MBK centre shopping mall is only 10 minutes away, as well as Phaya Thai Skytrain station. Other attractions in Bangkok are easily accessible via taxi or even a tuk tuk if you’re feeling adventurous.
THE AMENITIES
Club Lounge:
Guests may enjoy a complimentary afternoon tea at the lounge with nibbles and refreshments daily from 14:00 PM to 17:00 PM.
Swimming Pool:
Akara Hotel Bangkok has an infinity pool with breathtaking views of the city. The scenery of Bangkok’s skyline and the pool creates a comfortable oasis for the guests with vibrant ambience.
Dining Options:
There are two restaurants at the premises: The Fables and Ross Kitchen.
The Fables
The main restaurant is The Fables where a delicious breakfast is served in the morning. The Fables is also great for lunch and dinner brining you delicious Thai dishes and international flavours in elegant minimal Scandinavian ambience.
Ross Kitchen
Located on the hotel’s 3th floor, is Ross Kitchen, a restaurant with colourful neon decor and lively atmosphere. The restaurant features unique local dishes from all regions of Thailand. It is also a great place to drink cocktails and socialise.
Barracuda Rooftop Bar
Located above the pool is Barracuda Rooftop Bar that offers not only amazing city views but also a variety of drinks and snacks.
Culinary School:
The hotel has a culinary school on the 2d floor offering cooking classes for different cuisines such as Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese and even baking classes. The school were highly accommodating to our dietary requirements and were able to offer a private vegetarian cooking class especially for us. The instructor was highly knowledgeable and friendly. We were able to learn how to cook Thai dishes the best part was that we later got to eat what we cooked at the hotel’s restaurant.
MY EXPERIENCE
Me and my husband visited Akara Hotel during our honeymoon as a stop before heading to the Thai islands. For us, the hotel offered so much more than just a comfortable place to sleep; It was where we ate, drank, chilled, swam, and even learned how to cook and making cocktails.
